Fall Fest returns to the Old Soldiers Home on September 26th

With the return of the cooler fall weather comes the return of Fall Fest at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH), also known as the Old Soldiers Home. The event is Sunday, September 26th from 1pm to 5pm (the day after the Celebrate Petworth Festival).

With beer and food available, kids games, bouncy house and an obstacle course, music and more, it’s a great way to celebrate the community and enjoy a day outdoors in the neighborhood. (And Captain Cookie will be there, and they’re amazing.)

Enter off of Rock Creek Church Road and Randolph Street. No dogs are allowed on the grounds, and if you drive there, they ask for a $10 donation per car. Feel free to bike or walk in for free!

If you want to volunteer to help that day, reach out to Friends of the Soldiers Home.
