The pint sized pupuseria sports a fresh blue paint job and a bright sign with the picture of a garrobo — a small crocodile native to El Salvador. Inside, they’re cooking up pupusas, tacos, enchiladas, chicken sandwiches, and other Salvadorian treats.

There's whiskey, and then there's Irish Whiskey, and one man who knows the difference is Andrew Pope. Andrew hosts a monthly whiskey tasting class at Reliable Tavern (3655 Georgia Ave NW), and this month, his fourth class at the tavern, focuses on whiskeys from the fair Irish isle.
A recent notice from the Alcohol Beverage Control Board (ABRA) says that a new bar is coming to the Upshur area in Petworth, focusing on cigars as well as drinks.
The latest restaurant to open on 14th Street is Little Havana, offering Cuban-style cuisine from owner Chefs Alfredo Solis and Joseph Osorio. Doors open tonight, August 10th!
